Falafel is a contemporary old-fashioned love story with a few laughs, a bit of drama and a touch of Bollywood.
C A S T
Our story is set in one of the most beautiful cities in the world, London. None of the cast is English, but all of them love ACTING like they are!
They were nervous at the last rehearsal, wondering if we could pull this off. But on every shoot, all four played their parts perfectly, as if their characters were their true personas.
C R E W
Our incredible production team worked long hours! The outdoor night scene was shot at 2AM in a quiet neighborhood. We only had one floodlight left (we crashed the others) and it had to be charged by a generator... attached to a thunderously LOUD pickup truck.
We kept shooting and hoped that the neighbors wouldn't wake up. Unfortunately, some of them did.

Nikita Hattangady is a writer and filmmaker. She has degrees in Electrical Engineering and Management.
I dreamed of being a filmmaker. My loved
ones gave me the courage to do it.
Identity is a universal struggle.
A British accent is incredibly charming.
Falafels are amazing.
The sound of a Spanish guitar is beautiful.
The perfect formula for a film is a little
humor, a little conflict, and a lot of love.
Put it all together & voila! Falafel is born.
